Whilst Henshaw have huge experience in the manufacture and installation of traditional ‘Stick’ curtain wall systems, the Company is increasingly looking to off site production methods to meet increasing demands on health and safety, and quality criteria.

Pre-manufactured or ‘unitised’ curtain walling systems effectively take construction off site with fully assembled glazed panels being delivered to the project work face.

Whilst the lead-in period for unitised systems is longer than standard stick systems, the on site installation period is significantly shorter. Any scaffold access as required with stick curtain wall, is not a requirement for the installation of unitised systems.

On site programme gains are enhanced by better quality control as the design, manufacture and assembly of the unitised glazing system is carried out under controlled factory conditions.
